Gwen Wheeler

Gwen Wheeler is a qualified H.R practitioner and has over 20 years experience in Human Resources and Learning and Development. Gwen provides training in employment law and management development, H.R support and consultancy. She is a magistrate as well as part-time lecturer at Birmingham College of Food, Tourism and Creative studies.

Gwen worked for 9 years with The Hotel and Catering Training Company where she held the post of Area Training Manager. She managed a team of 9 training consultants and 3 training centres. She is a qualified trainer, lecturer, N.V.Q assessor and verifier who was head hunted in 1994 to join The Belfry where for 7 years held the post of Head of Human Resources. She left The Belfry in October 2001 to develop her own people and business development company.

Gwen was trained in the mid 1990's to deliver Data Protection Act Training and provide support for the Managers within the De Vere Group of Hotels. Since leaving the group in 1991, Gwen has delivered Data Protection Act Training for numerous companies, has developed Data Protection Act Policies and Procedures and has provided support and guidance on the Act to Managers within these companies. These include the Birmingham College of Food, Coston Ltd, The Professional Golfers Association and Merry Hill Shopping Centre. Her style is informal, encouraging participation, active discussions and group work.
