Helen Ashton HD Diploma in Training Management, MCIPD

Helen is a qualified training professional with human resources and operational management experience and a friendly and participative training style. Before establishing her own training and consultancy business in 1997, Helen set up and managed training departments for a prestigious Forte hotel and the University of Warwick.

She is skilled in designing systems and training programmes that link performance to the achievement of business objectives. She was instrumental in the achievement of Investors in People for Hospitality Services at the University of Warwick.

Skilled in supervisor and line management development, Helen has run programmes for Practical Employment Law, specialising in Managing Absence and Recruitment and Selection. Her recent experience has included assisting organisations with Interview Skills programmes for line managers and HR representatives. Workshops were followed up by coaching and observation to give further support to managers. She has also worked with interviewees to support them in the recruitment process.

Helen has also worked with organisations to help them to reduce absence and labour turnover. Workshops have assisted managers to review or set up systems to monitor and measure absence. These workshops also offered practical advice on how to identify and tackle problems. One organisation saw a reduction in absence levels from 14% to 5%.
