Keeping abreast of change in Employment
Law is a constant challenge. It is a challenge that needs to be met to avoid leaving untrained Managers and supervisors dealing with
issues that could result in tribunal claims.
"Routine" activities such as recruitment interviews (internal as well as external), shortlisting, issuing or changing contract terms and handling discipline or grievances all impact on workers legal rights. More employees than ever are making claims against their Employers, and new rights are regularly being introduced.
To avoid a risk to your Business it is important to ensure that Managers and Line Managers receive guidance to help them deal with people problems. This is particularly necessary where access to HR is limited or no longer available at all.
More and more Employers are now including Employment Law awareness workshops as part of Management Development programmes - often making this a compulsory module for developing managers.
ELT Workshops are highly practical and fully participative, presented by legal experts with an HR background. Role play (using actors where agreed with you) can be used to give participants the chance to practice those skills they have been introduced to in the earlier workshop.
We also provide employment law update courses for busy HR Professionals, focussing on the latest changes and case law and the practical impact for the business. ( This helps you with your CPD record too!)
